SUMMER WORSHIP TIME CHANGE Beginning July 6 through August 31 our worship time changes to 9:30 am. We begin with an old-fashioned hymn sing at 9:15 and then move into worship. Our choir will end for the season on June 22 and resume in the fall.

June 10th Presbyterian Women will meet on Tuesday at 3pm. We will be doing Chapter 8 Sabbath and Community, in the Horizon’s Bible Study called “Celebrating Sabbath”. Our Bible letter is “C” , bring a Bible verse starting with “C”.

Food Pantry Summer dates are July 22nd, and August 5th and 19th.The hours are from 12 to 3pm. Donations non-perishable items or money for the food pantry are always appreciated.

August 14th, NLH Quilters will meet the second Thursday at 10 am on. Please bring lunch and enjoy working together making quilts for Palliative patients at NLH. All are welcome. There are many jobs other than sewing! See Nancy Frank or Cindy Davidson.

Bible Studyis done for the summer and will resume in the fall.

The Parkinson’s Advocacy and Education Group will meet 2:00 pm in Fellowship Hall on August 21st. discussions and guest speakers. All are welcome. Face masks and social distancing are suggested.

Needleworkers and Painters Women of the church and friends meet on Wednesdays from 9 to 11 am each week to knit crochet, hem, paint and talk for two hours of friendship. They will meet throughout the summer with Dick Foster dropping in from time to time to check on painters progress.

The Mission of the Month for July is Sudan Relief Fund (Dr, Tom) Donations made be made in the Pink envelopes in the pews, if you would like to write a check please make out to Mayfield Presbyterian Church with Sudan Relief Fund written in the memo line.

July 26th Chicken Brooks Barbecue We are looking for donations of blueberries, strawberries and rhubarb and Vodka. Please let us know so we know what to buy before the pie party on July 25th at 8am. Crystal Hinckle is our pie lady please go to her with any questions. We will be shredding cabbage on the afternoon of July 25th and will be setting up for the Barbecue on July 26th. August 23 Golf Tournament At Holland Meadows Golf Course on Rte.29. Registration begins at 8 am, followed by coffee and bagels and a shotgun start at 8:30 am. Teams of 4- cost for each golfer is $75 for 18 holes of golf (includes a cart, luncheon, prizes and fun!!) Golfers, sponsors, food providers are needed. New sponsor signs are $50 each; reused signs from prior years are $25. Call Art Dahl for more information at 518-661-5800. MaryLou Bryan will coordinate the food for the picnic lunch.
