June 11th The PW women’s group will meet at 3:00 on Tuesday, June 11. All women of the church are invited to attend. We will be doing lesson 4 Sabbath and Surrender of the Horizons Bible Study “What My Grandmothers Taught Me”. The Bible verse letter is “U”.

June 15th Parkinson’s Advocacy & Education Group This group will meet on June 15 at 2:00pm in Fellowship Hall for discussions and to hear a variety of guest speakers.

NLH Quilters group will not meet in June.

June 18th Building and Grounds will meet at 4pm with Dave H.

June 23rd Sunday School The last day of Sunday School will be Sunday, June 23rd with a program during church service in celebration for the end of the year and will meet again in September.

Our Choir will also end singing for the summer on June 23rd. There will be one more service September 1 at the
Caroga Lake Chapel. All are invited to join in the fall.

June 26th Session Meeting at 6pm.

June 30th Outdoor Worship & Church Picnic Outdoor worship and church picnic at 10:30am on Priddle Point in Mayfield at the home of Chris & Art Dahl. A picnic will follow worship please bring a dish to pass and lawn chair if possible. We will provide hot dogs, lemonade and water. Time to meet new members and catch up with old friends.

July 1-3 Vacation Bible School Summer has arrived! This year VBS will be held for only 3 days. Monday through Wednesday, July 1,2, and 3. Our program is called OUTBACK ROCK. It is open to all. Children 12 and older will be helpers. We need lots of adult help, from a bell ringer to change the times of the activities, to adult helpers to keep the children moving and in line. There are several different stations, Bible stories, science, crafts, games, snacks and music. This is a great time for us to share God’s love with our community. Please help and items needed for donations will be posted on the bulletin board.

July 7th Worship Service will be on summer hours 9:30 Worship and 9:15 Hymn sing.

July 10 Summer Art Workshop Dick Foster will offer our Annual Art Workshop. Sessions will be held each Wednesday morning from 9 to 11am starting July 10 for 4 weeks. There will be no charge and all aspiring artists are welcome and all mediums may be used. Participants should bring their own supplies and “inspiration”. July 11th NLH Quilters Will meet at 10:00am to 2:00pm. Please bring a lunch and enjoy working together making quilts for Palliative patients at NLH. All are welcome.

July 27 Annual Chicken Brooks Barbecue Please come join us for our annual barbecue. Save the date. More info to come.

August 2 Games and Giggles 9 to noon. come and enjoy games and fellowship.

August 17 Annual Golf Tournament The golf tournament is on Saturday August 17 at Holland Meadows Golf Course on Rte. 29. Registration starts at 8:00am with coffee and bagels and a shotgun start at 8:30am. Teams of 4 will be starting at different holes, at the same time. Anyone wanting a cart please rent it from the golf course 518-883-3318. The cost for each golfer is $50.00 for 18 holes of golf, a homemade luncheon, prizes and lots of fun.

If you want to sponsor a hole the cost will be $50.00 per sign and you would need to call Art Dahl 518-661-5800 so he can have the sign made. If you have previously had a sign you can renew it for $25.00 all money can be given to Art or put in the offering plate with a notation of the purpose. Any donations are also welcome.

Youth Notes Thank you for a wonderful Tea put on by our Youth group and a special thank you to Kim Montgomery and her helpers for doing such a wonderful job. Enjoy your trip to the Great Escape and other activities this summer!

Needleworkers and Painters Women of the church and friends meet on Wednesdays from 9:00am to 11:00am each week to knit crochet, hem, paint and talk for two hours of friendship.
