JANUARY
January Bible Study continues on Tuesday at 6pm. We will start Simon Peter by Adam Hamilton on January 13th. You may join us in church, on Facebook and Zoom. Please ask to receive an email invitation for Zoom.
NLH Quilters will meet the second Thursday at 10am each month. Please bring lunch and enjoy working together making quilts for Palliative patients at NLH. All are welcome. There are many jobs other than sewing! See Nancy Frank or Cindy Davidson.
Food Pantry January Open 12 to 3pm January date 1/20 and February 3 12-3. Donations of non-perishable items or money for the food pantry are always appreciated.
The Parkinson’s Advocacy and Education Group will meet the second Thursday of each month at 2:00 pm in Fellowship Hall on December 18th. All are welcome. Face masks and social distancing are suggested.
Needleworkers and Painters Women and men of the church and friends meet on Wednesdays from 9 to 11 am each week to knit, crochet, hem, paint and talk for two hours of friendship.
The Mission of the Month for January is Haven of Hope and Residence. Their mission is to assist homeless and at-risk women and children with housing, basic needs, family unification goals and various support services. They help with housing in Fulton and Montgomery counties with an average stay of 3 to 12 months. Donations may be made in the Pink envelopes in the pews. If you would like to write a check, please make out to Mayfield Presbyterian Church with Haven of Hope written in the memo line.
Games & Giggles This group is open to everyone and takes place on the first and third Friday from 10am till noon. This is if weather permitting Call Carol Mason 518-661-6685 or Crystal Hinkle 518-661-6314 for more information, come join the fun!
Friday’s Table Our Mayfield Group will be serving on Friday January 13h, March 20th and April 24th. This held weekly at the Holy Spirit Community Center Gloversville. They will start at 2pm and finish around 5:30pm. They prepare and serve approximately 100 meals.

February 1 SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY AND ANNUAL MEETING As is our tradition we will have our soup and bread coffee hour and donate the profits. During coffee hour we will have our annual meeting to elect officers and Rev. Bonnie’s terms of call. The following Sunday the new elders will be ordained and installed.
February 6th BLOOD DRIVE We will be having our first American Red Cross Blood Drive in Fellowship Hall 12pm to 4pm Friday February 6th. To schedule an appointment, please call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org and use sponsor code: MayfieldPresbyterianChurch Please pass the word as this is the time of year that blood is especially needed. If you can help with either the canteen or registration, see Cindy Davidson to sign up.
February 11 and February 25 THE WAY We will offer two opportunities to watch the movie, The Way, one on Wednesday, February 11 at 6pm and the second on Wednesday February 25 at 6pm. Both times, we will serve soup and bread while we watch the movie. You may join on either night and of course., plan to usher in Lent with the Ash Wednesday service on February 18 at 7pm.
