December 6th Mohawk Valley Concert at 3 pm

Wednesday December 10th Annual Advent Family Potluck Supper beginning at 6pm. Open to all. Bring your table service and a dish to share. A couple of carols and a fun game are planned. Following the supper at 7:30 the annual BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICE will be held. It is open to everyone, especially for those who might not feel merry and bright or joyous about the upcoming holiday season. This is a quiet service that will take place in the beauty of our softly lit sanctuary.

December 13th Saturday Mayfield Village Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 6pm at the Firehouse 28 No. School Street

December 14th Musical Gift to the Community 2 pm A musical concert will consist of choir, bell choir, women’s choir, vocal/instrumental selections, in addition to congregational carols. There will be free will offering going to the organ restoration fund.

December Bible Study continues on Tuesday at 6pm. We will begin with a book called On The Way to Bethlehem by Rob Fuquay. You may join us in church, on Facebook and Zoom. Please ask to receive an email invitation for Zoom.

Food Pantry December 9 and 22 Open 12 to 3pm. Donations of non-perishable items or money for the food pantry are always appreciated.

December 24 Christmas Eve Service Our traditional candlelight/communion service will be held o Christmas Eve at 7 pm.

January 8th NLH Quilters will meet the second Thursday at 10 am . Please bring lunch and enjoy working together making quilts for Palliative patients at NLH. All are welcome. There are many jobs other than sewing! See Nancy Frank or Cindy Davidson. The NLH is asking for donations of baby blankets (Crocheted, knitted, or quilted) for the maternity unit. The Parkinson’s Advocacy and Education Group will meet 2:00 pm in Fellowship Hall on December 18th. All are welcome. Face masks and social distancing are suggested.

Needleworkers and Painters Women and men of the church and friends meet on Wednesdays from 9 to 11 am each week to knit, crochet, hem, paint and talk for two hours of friendship. This group will not meet on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving or Christmas.

The Mission of the Month for December is Christmas Joy Offering. The money is used to support retired ministers who have little or no other retirement income and to support the Presbyterian colleges. Donations may be made in the Pink envelopes in the pews. If you would like to write a check, please make out to Mayfield Presbyterian Church with Christmas Joy Offering written in the memo line.
